How many times have you had some form of car trouble and think “I wonder how much this is going to cost to fix?” Last week my Awesome Hubbys’ car gave out. It was on its last leg. My hubby decided instead of calling on a mechanic, to troubleshoot and find out what was going on with his ride. What this translated to in my head was…. I am going to try to fix it myself. NOW, I love my hubby and though I have seen him do some amazing things with computers (because he is a tech guy), a car was an entirely different animal. My hubby got on the Mac and started to do some research. Within all of about an hour he was on his way back outside with a little grin on his face. I quickly follow because I must find out what he had come up with. I felt like I was watching an episode of something from the discovery channel because I could have sworn I say light bulbs flickering over my hubbys’ head as he started looking and touching things under the hood of his car. I left him after a few minutes to tend to the quiet that was coming from inside our house (I know that silence and kids don’t make for good times for parents).
After about fifteen minutes, I heard an engine start. Could it be? Is the car running, No….It must be the truck. My hubby then comes running in the house with a “I AM THE MAN” smirk on his face as he walks past me. He fixed the car. He truly fixed the car! I asked him how did you find out what the problem was. My hubby turns to me as he sits down, on what was normally our office chair that had became a glowing throne as he descinded downward to sit, and says “as long as you have the internet and You Tube you should be able to do anything”. “Thank God for that” I said. So there you are family, the solution to life’s questions… the internet and You Tube. I think I will keep doing this little segment of our D.I Y. series. Sometimes we even surprise ourselves with some of the things we find out and try. This is going to be fun!
